Multisport Canada has an event the weekend after Labour Day (September 7, 2024) at Lakeside Family Camping. We have participated in this event and camped at the campground since 2022, however this year is the first year that we will be there as an official community. We camp from Friday - Monday (September 6-9, 2024) however each member chooses the duration that works for them in that time frame.
This weekend not only gives us the opportunity to show up as a community and cheer each other on but also gives us some time to make new connections and further grow the love for the sport.
Also you do not need to participate in the triathlon to come for the weekend. We have many who just come to cheer us on and support us. We have found it has been a good way for children to see what it is all about to ease nerves and perhaps participate the following year.
Below is the link to the sign up for the Lakeside Multisport Event.
If you would like to book a camp site see the campgrounds website below and indicate you are part of PACE Triathlon Community when booking.
I have also created a facebook event for this weekend: https://www.facebook.com/share/5vDNwT1QLQwypDiD/

September training schedule is tentative.
August 2024
We all showed up and did our best, made some mistakes, learnt from the mistakes and will use those lessons to improve for future races. Even I forgot to pump up my tires so did a 10km bike with a flat tire, very tough and added 10min to my bike from last year. I wont do that again, lol.
This was the first race that the community had more than one person in attendance! So exciting to see the community grow and the support we show to eachother.
Two new triathletes who did amazing and now are considering racing again next year. Plus our youngest two triathletes who completed their 7th and 5th triathlons since starting in 2022 and 2023.
Meet my friend and OG Triathlete Jenny VandenHengel who completed her 2nd Triathlon and got 3rd in her age group (also was only milliseconds away from 2nd place)! To say I am proud is an understatement. Keep up the great work and reaching those personal bests!
This is my 8 year-old daughter who just completed her 5th Triathlon. That might sound amazing in itself, but what you can't see is that she is completing them despite having mental and physical diagnosis that make all of this a truly immeasurable feat. She is still riding with training wheels and every time just does her best and finishes with a big smile.
So if you are questioning if you can do this, you can it just takes the belief in yourself and accepting the support of others.
